Supporting you in achieving and maintaining a more balanced life.

Our bodies carry our stories. When we begin to notice the impact of our experiences, we may feel a multitude of sensations at once. In connecting our emotions and experiences to these physical sensations, we can journey home to ourselves. In our work together, we can acknowledge these experiences and greet them with compassion as we move toward healing to cultivate lasting growth grounded in authenticity, awareness and inner trust.

At Soma Life Studio, the goal is to encourage healing through holistic embodiment. Holistic embodiment is built on integration, presence and self-discovery. When we can fully connect with ourselves, we can create harmony in mind, body and spirit. Healing lies within that harmony.

You can be fully in charge of your life only if you can acknowledge the reality of your body, in all its visceral dimensions.

What is Holistic Embodiment?

Holistic embodiment is the practice of fully residing in and connecting with one’s body. This includes integrating mental. emotional, spiritual and physical layers. It bridges the connections between mind and body to cultivate somatic healing, interoceptive awareness, and to foster emotional regulation. This is often done through evidence-based psychotherapeutic practices as well as practices such as yoga, movement, and mindfulness. This integrative approach treats the person as a whole, rather than separating symptoms in order to work toward holistic wellness. Some specific approaches utilized include Attachment-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Polyvagal Theory and mindfulness-based approaches. A supportive and compassionate presence is integral to your care and nurturing your spirit.
